As a "diagonal knot” mainly the variant of the Kelvin knot is determined, which ties in a manner similar to a cross knot. There is one more node under the same name – its binding sequence and appearance after tying are completely different. Knot for nimble fingers.

Knot for nimble fingers

Probably this knot was invented by Davide Mosconi. Did he want to drive his fellow men crazy with it?? The diagonal knot is undoubtedly another knot for skilled people – and these, who already have Kent and the cross knot in their little finger! If you master it, then you will have an additional knot in your repertoire for evening occasions.

Suitable tie material

For the twill knot, Mosconi recommends light-colored fabrics made of a blend of cashmere and silk. Shiny is also good, darker materials, at which, however, light and shadows are unfavorable. Slippery fabrics also require more practice in binding! You should avoid patterned materials, because they distract from the nice shape of the knot. The best ties for a twill knot are single-colored or small patterned ties (for example, the Ton-in-Ton micromotif). Don't exercise on cashmere ties, so as not to completely destroy them! The material must be easy to grip, so that you can control it better.

Important

From the fourth step, hold the bar with your fingers, with which you will tighten the knot, open to the narrow end of the tie. Pass the narrow end of the tie through this crossbar in step five. In step six, wrap it around the wide end from the back. Form the crossbars, of which the node consists.
